I’ve been writing and telling stories for as long as I can remember. As a grownup I write speeches, articles, and other things for businesses. My favorite stories to write, though, are books for kids. I’ve written more than a dozen nonfiction books for grades K-9 and am working on fiction and nonfiction books for kids and adults right now.
I’m deaf and speech read. I can even read lips in Zoom meetings. I started losing my hearing as a child but am just now learning American Sign Language. I also use a wheelchair after being in a car accident.
I like to read and swim, and my favorite sport to watch is Major League Baseball. I live outside of Philadelphia and love to watch all professional Philly sports. I volunteer for a local animal shelter and have had rescue dogs, cats, and rabbits. Adopt don’t shop, please! I used to have a friendly groundhog (woodchuck, whistle pig, land beaver) living under my deck, so I love groundhogs, but not as pets.
